1) Staying Motivated.

2) My Motivational Worksheet.
| Are you lacking the motivation needed to really push yourself during those tough workouts? Do you find it difficult to pump out those important extra one or two growth producing reps? |
Are you easily frustrated or discouraged when you look in the mirror and don't see dramatic changes in your physique? Are you on a motivational roller-coaster, getting really excited about starting a new program, only to find that your motivation quickly dwindles within the
first few weeks?
Unfortunately many of us will loose motivation before giving a good exercise program a chance to work. In fact an astounding 70% of people who join heath clubs will quit within the first six weeks and keep paying their monthly fees!
So, how do you stay motivated? Give the following exercise a try. It only takes about 5-10 minutes. The exercise will help you set some clear and specific goals, while helping you think about what you really need to do in order to stay motivated.
Sit down in a quiet place where you can concentrate without any distractions. Answer the following questions. Be honest.

9) If I don't reach my goals, how will I feel about myself?
10) When I feel discouraged or unmotivated, I will do the following to get back on track...
Finished? If you just read through the above questions without stopping to think about
(and write down) an answer to each one. Please go back and take a few minutes to complete the exercise.
Even though defining your long term goals usually comes before defining your short term goals, this isn't always best for fitness. Thinking too far ahead about your fitness goals
can be very overwhelming for most people. Defining and following through with your
short term goals will help you create the discipline and consistency that will be vital to accomplishing your long term goals.
You'll be amazed at what a good exercise program can do for you, once you stay motivated long enough to start seeing the results. Staying motivated is often the hardest part, so
don't be discouraged. Refer back to your motivational worksheet whenever you need
more motivation.
Enjoy the process........
